Principal's Message

July 1, 2018

Dear Parents, Teachers, and Staff of Liberty High School:

I would like to take this time to introduce myself.  I am David Piccolo your new principal of Liberty High School.  I received my doctorate and specialist degrees from Argosy University, Sarasota, my master's degree from Nova Southeastern, my bachelors from the University of Central Florida and my (AA) degree from Daytona State College.  I have been so fortunate to spend (30) years of my career in the Central Florida area and now have returned home.  I am honored to be chosen by our school district to assume this role and will continually strive to do the best job for our school community.

As an educational leader and teacher for the past 38 years, I have been fortunate to work under and lead some incredible systems which provided students with the highest capability and potential to grow both academically and socially.  I am excited to put some of these strategies in play and unite them with the instructional support from our district to create a positive, enhancing educational environment for both students and teachers.

I want to thank Mr. Preisser for the fine job he did last year in preparing a strong foundation for academic growth.  Liberty High is on the move upward as we can now see the instructional gains from last year.  We have set the tone for this year's instructional theme, "Charging to a B".  Let's all get on the bus and do what is in the best interest of students, holding on to the concept, all students can learn.

Sincerely and Respectfully,

Dr. David M. Piccolo

Principal, Liberty High School
